Time for New Year’s Resolutions

It’s that time of year again, a new beginning, a chance to make a change in your life.  The gyms are more crowded as people start strong on their new year resolutions.  At least, this is where you can see the most immediate change followed by thinning crowds in the spring and summer.

Here’s a list of some of the most popular new year’s resolutions year after year according to USA.gov:

  1. Drink Less Alcohol (as a non drinker this one was easy)
  2. Eat Healthy Food (no problem with this one, I just eat too much unhealthy food with it)
  3. Get a Better Education (I guess I’d have to go back to school :(   It never ends!)
  4. Get a Better Job (are there any good ones out there in this economy? If you know of any let me know!)
  5. Lose Weight (I seem to be losing everything else, why not some weight too?)
  6. Manage Debt (I agree, we all could do better here, let’s get out of debt!)
  7. Manage Stress  (So what if your house is underwater, there are no jobs and your 401k was cut in half, no worries mate!)
  8. Quit Smoking (Hey, I’m an asthmatic, whey you smoke it’s killing me, so quit already! (it’ll help with #6 too))
  9. Take a Trip (I’ve always wanted to go there and that tax refund is coming soon, so…)
  10. Volunteer to Help Others (Seriously, even if they don’t ask, everyone appreciates a little support now and then)
There are many other great and ambitious things people set out to accomplish each year.  It’s been proven that when you write down your goals and share them with others you have a better chance of success, so why not share them here?  All who share their resolutions here will be featured for at least the month of January, so get started today!  Be sure to use the category, Resolutions!
